This Year’s “Golden Disk Awards” Winners Now Revealed

On January 16, Korea’s top musicians and pop stars gathered for the Korean counterpart of the Grammy Awards, 28th Golden Disk Awards, Korea’s most prestigious music awards ceremony.

Began in 1986, the Golden Disk Awards is an annual awards show held by the Music Industry Association of Korea. The awards ceremony was discovered to recognize outstanding achievements in South Korea’s music industry.

This year’s show, hosted by SHINee’s Minho, SNSD’s Taeyeon and Tiffany,  B2ST’s Doojoon, Oh Sang Jin, and CNBLUE’s Yonghwa, was held at Kyunghee University’ Grand Peace Palace. Apparently, it has become the talk of the KPop community. Everyone seemed curious and excited to know who will win Golden Disk Awards’ Daesang Award.
